Skiing with scouts

Darryl helps run the cross country ski program at Beaver High Adventure Base for the Boy Scouts. It looks like a ton of fun-- on a warm day. :)

Clint and Kade going for a ride in Kade's car. There isn't much room for the two of them but they don't mind.

Darryl's parents just got a player piano. Kade would sing, and dance with it all day if Granny would let him. He may be 2 but he knows how to say (kind of) supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Needless to say the Mary Poppins roll is his favorite.

Chillin' with Kylee

Kade and his cousin McKylee. They play so cute together. They're the greatest pals. We had the bouncer out for Clint and had borrowed Kylee's old bouncer earlier at Grandma's house, so Kylee and Kade took advantage of them.

Happy B-day '2' you!

Kade was so excited for cake! In fact for weeks--make that months afterward he asked if it was, "Cake birthday day?"



Sweet Mrs. Anderson (Kade calls her Mrs. Assernun) in the Nursery at church gives the kids a crown to wear on their birthdays. Kade wore his for a week before it broke and was retired.



We had a little birthday party in Redmond with the Grandmas and Grandpas. Kade got a lawnmower! Last summer he spent more time mowing the neighbors lawn with their play lawnmower than Darryl and I spent on our lawn combined.

"Wee" and "Aaa"

Redmond Minerals, where Darryl works, had a day at Soldier Hollow tubing with their employees and their families. Darryl and I thought it was great fun. Kade wasn't convinced. They hook your tube onto a line that taxis you up the hill, Kade hated that for sure because he had to be alone in his tube. Then going down the hill was okay. I don't think the fun outweighed the fright on this activity.
