Hocus Pocus!

We love the UVU night of magic!  Every spring they have a magician come and do a show for the kids and it's always so great.  There were definitely lots more people there this year.  We added to the numbers-- the Grobs have been staying at our house for a few days (which has been so fun to have live in playmates for all the kids!) so we took them all to the see the magician too.

I'm Brave!

Yes it's another entry about Cole. The last week Cole sort of started walking. We could coax him to take a few steps but he seemed very wobbly and scared of walking. Today he just decided he was brave because the boys and I caught him walking distances of about 5 ft. or more. He still gravitates to crawling whether it be traditional style or ape, but there were about 6 times today that he chose to walk. In the picture he is biting his finger; He's like that a lot lately. His molars are coming up a lot.

Cole didn't have much interest in dinner tonight so he started a little game of peek-a-boo. He's covered his face with a blanket, sippy cup--whatever he was holding but never with his cute little hands. I couldn't delete any of these pictures. He's so stinkin' cute! I loved the times he didn't quite cover his eyes.

It looks like SPRING!

It was such a nice day. A ton of our snow has melted and so the kids played in the sandbox(something Clint talked about doing recently and when I told him he couldn't he was completely shocked until I explained that it was covered in snow). The rode bikes with about everyone on the street and then we broke out the sleds and went sledding in the front yard(fun that you can do it all in Heber!).

Eating Feet and A Fit

I was taking pictures of Cole eating his feet; it's his new thing lately. He is so funny when he does it because he cracks himself up or it just tickles. Either way it's so cute to hear him giggle and giggle while he bites. Then . . . he decided he wanted to play with the camera; I of course didn't let him and so we got this--a little fit. I love his pouty lips when he cries(click for a better look at those kissers). Oh I could just eat him up!

Chopsticks!

Darryl brought back chopsticks from Japan for the boys. They were so excited for finally try them out. Darryl rigged them so they were spring loaded for the kids. I was surprised how well they did. I thought for sure this was going to be a "3 hour tour," but they were so focused on taking each bite that they kept eating bite after bite which made for a very quick dinner for us. Side Note: If you're looking for a good recipe here is one we tried and we all loved. I used chicken, and linguine, and I also over steamed the broccoli (not intentionally but it made it much more Cole friendly). I also would highly suggest doubling the sauce.

Little man, Big words

Clint often says things that just make me chuckle. He'll say things that a very proper adult would say. Here is an account of one of those times:
We were in the car picking up Kade from school, Clint was playing with the i-pod. He turned on a Kenny G song. I started humming the song and Clint heard. He said, "Mom I picked that song just for you." I replied with, "Oh, I like it." Proudly Clint said, "It's my pleasure." :)

What They Think Of

We went to visit the Grandparents this weekend and when we were getting ready to walk out the door at 8 PM(notice the boys even have their shoes on) they some how came up with the idea of putting clothes pins all over Granny. I have no idea where that came from but they were giggling so hard that I just let them do it and of course I had to take a picture. About an hour later we left. :) We visited the Browns too. We went swimming with McKylee on Saturday. It was Cole's first swimming experience and he LOVED it. He splashed and splashed and then he'd kind of paddle when he wanted me to move. It took him about 2 hours to get cold and then he was not happy until we got him dry and warm again.

A Chuck E' Cheese Birthday

We had a birthday bash tonight. Kade and Clint have been begging to do the Ticket Blaster at Chuck E Cheese for years and tonight their dreams came true. I had to book a birthday party to get the ticket blaster experience and then I added Clint and Abby to the list of birthday kids. I really doubt we'll have another party there so I wanted Clint to be able to do the blaster too and Abby's birthday was yesterday so I couldn't not let her do it too. It turned out to be a blast. They got blow up crowns, "gold" medals, huge balloons, danced with the big Cheese himself, and then got to do the infamous ticket blaster! Clint was scared and wasn't going to do the ticket blaster but another little boy went in with his dad so Clint agreed to do it with Darryl. It was so funny to watch his face. He was nervous for the first 10 seconds then all of a sudden he was extremely excited and having a blast. The kids had fun playing games and Darryl rocked one of the games(as usual) and scored about 2,000 tickets. Clint's favorite game is the one where you squirt the target. Kade was all over and enjoying every minute of everything he did. Abby loved the climbing area with the slide. They sure go all out for the party. We figure after all we got with the tickets and with the package we actually came out on top-- score! It was worth it to let those kids feel so special too-- you couldn't put a price on that.
