1st one gone!
Cole was so excited to have his first loose tooth. Unlike the other boys he wanted assistance getting it out. It was really hurting him to eat so he asked me to just pull it. I expected him to retract his request once I started trying to remove the tooth but he was committed. I wrapped some dental floss around the tooth and yanked it out. I was surprised how pointed the root was; that explained why he was in so much pain when he would eat. After the tooth was out this is the view everyone he passed got with the demand of, "Look! Look!"

Name that Prophet
The Primary Secretary sent me these pictures of Cole and Clint going head to head with the bishop in a game of "Name that Prophet." So cute!

Puerto Rico Dental Show
This will be our station for the next couple days. I can't believe we didn't take a picture of our beautiful view though. It was somewhat comical though. We would sit in the booth all day looking out the doors to the gorgeous beach. The first day as soon as the show ended we headed to our room, changed into our swimming suits, and headed to the beach. As we walked out onto the beach we noticed there was only a 10 ft. sliver of beach that still had sun. We grabbed some lounge chairs sat down and within about 3 minutes the sliver shrunk to nothing as the sun went down. It was pretty sad. We didn't want the same fate on the second day and we were pretty optimistic it would end the same way because the show let out about 3 hours earlier on the second day. We again ran to the room and changed, then headed to the beach. We pulled up our chairs and started basking in the sun. It may be important to note that the winds were 20-30 mph the whole time we were there. I note that because after soaking in the wonderful sun for about 10 minutes it suddenly disappeared. Well with winds that strong it can blow in clouds pretty quickly. We were hoping they would blow out as quickly but we looked up only to find that they weren't just puffy white clouds they were very dark stormy clouds. We got off the beach just before the downpour began. Like I said-- comical. Oh well we still got to enjoy the beach with our eyes during the show.

Viva Puerto Rico
We were getting on a red eye to Puerto Rico tonight so we didn't expect to see anyone we knew. We sat down in the airport to wait for our flight and noticed we were sitting next to one of our high school teachers, also Darryl's wrestling and track coach, Steve Camp. It was so fun to chat with him. He lives over in Summit County now and so we had him over for dinner about 6+ months ago. We were headed to Puerto Rico for a dental show and Steve was heading to a Caribbean cruise.
Sweet jump!
Darryl has had such a great year of skiing. For the first time he broke down and bought a season pass since Vail bought Park City Mountain and the Canyons the season pass would be good for all Vail resorts and so it was really a great deal. Darryl and his friend Jason Haddock, who also works for Redmond Minerals, both bought passes and so they have each really enjoyed having a ski buddy. They would often go ski for a few hours in the morning and then head back to the office. They logged over 15 trips this year! As you can see from his jump he still has it!

Almost show time!
It is getting so close to show time! These two have had such a fun time together. Since they are the only children in the principle cast they have had a neat opportunity to really become each other's buddy. They make great siblings and even better real-life friends. I love watching them together. They interact with each other like they've known each other for years. Their interactions with the adults are fun to watch as well. The adults are so great with them in helping them with acting and just messing around with each other and having fun. What a wonderful experience for Jermey and Jemima (aka: Kade and Abby).

Tron
At about 8:00 AM Kade reminded me that he wanted to dress up as Tron for favorite character day at school today. We ripped apart his dresser finding black clothing and then I had a brilliant idea of using painting tape for the glowing stripes. It turned out great! We produced a tron in about 10 min. I was so impressed. ;) Kade loved it and said he felt like he had really turned into Tron-- he said he just couldn't help but think like Tron does. ;)

Bio-Dome
We're inside the beautiful bio-dome that is part of a hotel in Florida. It is the hotel/convention center Darryl often stays at so he was excited to show it to us. The plants were so fun to see. I got to see an agave plant, and a coca tree in their gardens. They had some alligators and turtles that were fun to watch in the pond behind us. It felt like you were in a different part of the world being in this bio-dome. It was strange to think that we were in the atrium of a hotel. You'd look up and see people sitting on their hotel room balcony. Darryl said at Christmas time they have concerts and so people just go out on their balcony and enjoy the show. Such a neat place.
Moments with Beci and Will
Beci and her baby Austin watched the boys while we were in Florida. Will came up to visit on the weekend. This gave Beci a great opportunity to see what her life will be like when she has older kids; Kids playing on the baby toys, and boys (and husband) glued to the Xbox. The boys love when these guys watch them. They're such great people.
