Cole had another wiggly tooth and said it hurt too much to eat so he wanted me to pull it out. We wrapped the dental floss around it and yanked it out. He was so excited about have two missing teeth. For the next week or two he walked up to everyone grinned like this and pointed to the gap. He would beam when the person would respond, "Did you loose a tooth?" He would quickly answer, "Yep! Two!"

Growing Forks!
We've had a shortage of forks at our house lately so I planted some! Ha Ha! I actually planted the peas, lettuce, arugula, kale, chard, and spinach but added the forks for protection. I read online that you can keep your pets out of your garden beds by putting forks in.
Update: Unfortunately, Kia still thinks the garden beds are his beds and digging sites. However, the last few days he hasn't been in them so maybe he understood me when I got mad at him for digging up my seeds.

Trafalga again?
Kade had such a great time playing paintball, and Darryl really needed a pick-me-up so I thought it would be so great for them to go play paintball together. We decided to make a family trip out of it with the Goodes and so we all headed down to Trafalga to play for a little while, ate a picnic lunch in our cars in the rain, and then headed to Rita's for a gelati. Pretty much a great day!

Kicking Off Spring Break!
We wanted to make sure we got a day in at Trafalga for Spring Break since the boys haven't been there for a long time and they were doing a Spring Break special even where they had a few extra things-- turned out they advertised a bunch of things but they didn't have them. :( The boys weren't disappointed though because they finally had the roller coaster going and they had so much fun riding on it. I made three laps so Cole said it was better than Bombora (that is his favorite ride at Lagoon). The Spencers met us there which made the day even better. Cole enjoyed golfing, Clint enjoyed the water bumper boats, and Kade enjoyed paintball with Tyler. They thought it was the greatest day! So glad at least one day was spectacular during the break. :) When they were ready for lunch we grabbed some sandwiches at Subway and went to Pleasant Grove to a discovery park. They kids had so much fun playing tag but eventually we had to wrap things up and head back to Heber. Sad. It was so great to see the kids having so much fun-- that never gets old.

Happy Easter!
Today was a day of all kinds of randomness. The boys found their Easter baskets with toys and candy and a Bumpershot game for the family. They spent the morning playing with the Bakugans they got and playing Bumpershot. In the afternoon I took Cole and Clint to the Zermatt Easter egg hunt. It was a ton of people in a little space but it was nice that they got to go to an egg "hunt." Kade stayed home with Darryl and as they spread a trailer load of mulch onto the flowerbeds. It really helped the yard look much nicer and manicured. Then in the later afternoon Darryl took Kade and Clint to hike to a cave west of Midway. They had such a great time and were excited to find a cairn at the trailhead turn and some lanterns in the cave. Cole and I went and ran a few errands and then hit the car wash. He couldn't remember what the car wash was like and so while we waited for the car in front of us to finish he made comments like, "Oh! I just can't wait to go in there! This is so exciting!" While we were in the wash he was fascinated by all of the moving parts. We missed going to Notom this year but we still had a nice weekend in Heber.

Turkey on the Playground
I took Cole to the Midway park today. He was playing at the play ground and then came running, "Mom! You've got to come see this!" I figured he was just talking about some imprints of dinosaur bones on the underneath of the plastic rock wall on the playground set. He said, "NO! You've really got to come see this thing!" I begrudgingly got up and walked over, certain I knew what he wanted to show me. Was I shocked to see the huge turkey lying on the wood chips. It was very friendly; kids were petting it, hugging it, stepping on its tail, riding it, and touching its eye. It stayed there through it all. If the kids would go off and play it would eventually move closer to where they were. It was so bizarre. The kids loved it. One little girl even named it Elizabeth. :) Such a fun and cute experience for the kids.

Mini Beekeepers
Darryl was heading out to go check on his hives but stopped to suit up Kade and Clint so they could come along. Kade was trying to play tough but he was failing. He was pretty nervous about not having an extra barrier on his legs. We only have one full kid-size suit but Darryl was certain that they wouldn't be upsetting the bees and so Kade wouldn't be in any danger. He was very relieved when they were done and he was going home without being stung.

Hiking to the Cave
Darryl has made "the cave" hike a favorite past time recently. He went with the trail running group, then took Ron up [that was when this shot was taken], then took the boys the Saturday before Easter, and then took Paul Malan up recently. I think it is about time it's my turn! :)
This is such a great spot for a photo.

Closing Night :*(
Kade had such a hard time with the thought that he wouldn't be hanging out with these people every week anymore. I'm so glad he enjoyed it so much. I hope they all know what a great impact they had on Kade.
