Parent Teacher Conference

Tonight was yet another parent teacher conference. They boys are doing great in school and their teachers just can't say enough good about them. Any concerns we have about them the teachers assure us are not issues to be concerned with. I'm so proud of them for working so hard and for having great attitudes. It is so nice to know that they enjoy school and I know their teachers for the most part are why they love school. Hooray for Ms. Wade and Ms. Mecham!

Reading Super Hero

There are some fabulous people that spearhead activities at the elementary.  This month was reading month and the theme was, "I'm a hero I read!"  They had this cute poster and the boys begged me to come and take a picture of them.  I love seeing them so excited about simple things in life.  The reading campaigns they had this month had my boys reading like crazy which was great for them.  I felt so bad.  Somehow the picture of Clint got lost/deleted.  He was a reading hero too!

Adventures with my "Bro"

These two have such an awesome relationship.  I feel bad Cole doesn't have his own permanent buddy like these two.  They endearingly refer to each other as "Bro."  They picked that up from watching a show called Wild Krattz, a show about 2 brothers that help animals.  Tonight they were just hanging out on top of the pitch-back.  I hadn't heard from them in a while and when I found them they were here just having an adventurous conversation.

Boys Pictures

I had another whirlwind experience trying to get the boys pictures taken today.  They've closed most of the Wal-Mart portrait studios so I had to go to Salt Lake to get these done.  When we got there they informed me they'd changed their policy and you can't get the special for each child unless you come back on another day.  I really didn't want to come back again and again so I just ended up buying a package.  Even after all the coupons and discounts the photographer gave me I still ended up paying more than I wanted but what could I do.  I had made this special trip to get their pictures done and I didn't want to do that again.  Kade and Clint's photoshoots went well but then it was Cole's turn and he was being completely uncooperative.  He refused to let go of me and set on the bench.  We tried letting him stand and that wasn't working either.  Darryl suggested we just come back another day, but I wasn't okay with that.  I remembered we'd gotten some marshmallows and so I cracked open a bag and we got one good picture and that was all we needed.  We picked pictures and left and I swore again that I wouldn't go back to Wal-Mart for pictures.  I did have to go back and pick up the pictures and I was glad I was really happy with how they turned out.  It made the mayhem worth enduring.

Cleaning the Church

Today we were on church cleaning duty.  We've done this a few times like most people have but this time it was especially fun.  The boys really got into it.  It's amazing how willing they are to work if someone takes the time to walk them through how to do something they can do.  It was fun to come out of a room I'd been cleaning and see them pushing vacuums all around the building.  I'm so thankful they have good attitudes.

Love The Sandbox!--and Glasses!

This kid could spend the whole day here.  He really loves to wear his glasses too.  Had to chuckle when I looked out the window to check on him. What a cool cat. :)

Trafalga con Cousins!

Again we joined Ann and her family on one of their fun spring break adventures.  They headed to Trafalga today so we met up with them after school.  The boys had so much fun doing laser tag as a team.  About 8 of us would  go hide in an area together and defend our area.   Kade and Clint climbed the wall to the top too.  I did it with Clint and I was surprised that I felt a little nervous when I got to the top.  Guess I should be a little easier on the boys when they say it's scary. :\     Darryl had just removed a wart on his foot and wasn't feeling up to being on it all day so he stayed home with Cole.  Looks like Cole had some fun of his own with diapers!

Disney On Ice: Toy Story Style

Ann and here kids were coming up for their spring break and they were going to Disney On Ice: Toy Story.  The boys and I joined them.  It was the perfect Disney on Ice show to take the boys to.  They loved pointing out all the characters.  They really loved the army guys and how they "parachuted" in on a track hanging from wires.  Fun.  They loved huge claw too.

Daily Ritual

There is always a time during each day that Cole does this.  He sits by the bookshelf and pulls out book after book.  He'll sit there for about 30 min. just looking at the books.  Such a cutie but I must admit I do grumble every time I have to put the books back.

Fun with Chalk

We have weather to do sidewalk chalk in early-March-- who would have guessed.  The boys were having such a fun time today.  They each finished their drawings and wanted me to take pictures of them.  I didn't see it before but while I was taking the pictures they informed me they had drawn Rapunzel from Tangled.  They were shocked I didn't know what it was, "See, her hair goes all over the driveway!"  The boys personalities shine in these pictures too.  Clint-- ta-da!  Kade-- leg guitar while spinning around.  Cole-- busy, busy drawing here and there and here again, and there . . .  Love these boys!

Sweet Moments

It's 8 AM and I came out from getting dressed and found this sweet moment.  Cole had stole his binki and his blanket from his bed (which is not allowed) crawled up on the couch, and snuggled on the I-pod playing brothers.

Can you guess?

Can you guess what Darryl is setting on?
Darryl meditating on a bed of Real Salt at Buddhist temple in Taiwan.  The Zen Master said Real Salt has good chi.
About a year ago a Zen Master who I believe is tied with Japan Salt came to visit Real Salt.  While he was here Darryl spent 3 days with him showing him around.  They spent a lot of time meditating-- which consisted of him instructing Darryl on proper meditation.  So on their trip this year to Taiwan this year Darryl was able to try it out on a floor of salt.

Pimp Daddy

Clint was sporting his treasures from the quarter machine.  He got a set of gold teeth and some "Yo, Yo, Rock-n-Roll" glasses.  He was doing a little dance and acting super "cool" so we had to take a picture.  He was making the waitress totally crack up.  She was doing a poor job of tending to our needs because she was so distracted by Clint-- so funny.

We had gone swimming at the Richfield pool and then hit Pizza Hut afterward.  Side story: We had gone to the pool with Buzz and McKylee and we had only been there 2 minutes and McKylee tried to do a back flip off the side of the pool and flipped around and hit her head on the side of the pool.  We stayed and swam while Buzz took her to the hospital in my car.  We had a couple of hours of fun swimming and then McKylee returned with 4 staples on the top of her head.  She felt good enough to complete the tradition of going to Pizza Hut afterwards and that's when Clint's "new look" was born.
