Soggy Bunco

We love having bunco outside on Hailey's deck.  We tonight the clouds were threatening and then they dropped a few random drops so we just stayed outside.  Well the few drops turned into full on rain.  :)  Hailey supplied us all with umbrellas to share so I had to take a picture of us playing in the rain with our umbrellas, soggy tables and wet dice.

Bear Lake Day 4 A Few More Seconds in The Water

Today was pack up and leave day. We did let the kids play on the water while we were cleaning the house. No one wanted to leave but the day would come regardless.

Bear Lake Day 4 Candid Shots

These a just a few moments that we happened to capture.  There were so many moments that we didn't.  Like the late nights, or kids playing the Wii.  There were many pool and air hockey matches too.  The kids also spent a lot of time in the garage riding around on the plasma cars.  There were so many grand moments to capture.  There were many hours with lots of cooks in the kitchen working together to create some fabulous meals.  I wish we would have taken a picture of the "bunk" room.  It has like 6 bunkbeds plus a bunk closet.  All the kids were in that room, except for babies.  That was a lot of sleeping kids in one area. :)

Bear Lake Day 3 Toy Fun

Darryl borrowed Rhett's waverunners and I'm so glad he did. It was so great to see those who don't get to ride waverunners much have such a great time on them. Mike also had a couple kayaks that were a lot of fun.  What can I say it was just FUN!  There was one moment that was frightening.  I was on the tube with Cole, and Anthony(you can see us on our stomachs right before we took off on our ride--all good then).  We were being pulled by a waverunner and suddenly the tube did a nose dive down under the water.  We all went with it.  I was so scared that Anthony and Cole would inhale water just out of shock.  I was trying to push their bottoms up to get their heads above water.  The pull of the water was taking us down-- it was so crazy.  In the end everyone was sad but breathing!  Frightening!  They were done with the tube after that--surprise, surprise. :)
Tonight we went back to Garden City to see Forever Plaid. It was a funny play. I really enjoyed the music but wasn't impressed with the plot. The kids really liked it because they love music. There was a little spot in the play too that the characters involved the kids by having them play bongo drums. The kids thought that was "AWESOME!"

Bear Lake Day 3 Panning For Gold

This was one of the most memorable moments for me. Marcia put together a panning for gold activity. The kids used pie pans and would scoop up some of the special sand she brought, put it in their pan, then add a little water, swish it around, and viola! They could pan out the gold nuggets. She used bronze lead shot(I think) for the gold. The kids thought this was fantastic! Cole even got into it.;) I thought it was most fun to see how happy Grandma and Grandpa were watching their grandkids have so much fun with the activity.

Bear Lake Day 2 Bandito Fun

Today we got up and played around in the house for a while since it was pretty chilly in the morning. By 11 AM the kids couldn't wait any longer so we suited them up and headed into the water. The water level was so much higher this time. We didn't have to walk far at all to get to the shoreline. That night we all cleaned up and headed into Garden City to go eat a fresh raspberry shake(and dinner too) and the go see The Hanging of Juanito Bandito! We were so excited to go to Pickleville again. Though it wasn't our favorite Bandito play we still had a great time.  Cole doesn't look happy in the picture but he too LOVED the play.  He clapped and laughed the whole time.
