Kangaroo Zoo w/ Friends

We went to Kangaroo Zoo with the Spencers today. They kids love that place. Surprisingly though my kids wanted to leave for 2 reasons: 1) they were starving 2) they wanted to swim in the pool
It's a little hard to see in the pictures but Abby and Kade ran around the place holding hands and plotting which slide they would go on next. It was pretty cute. They went down most of the slides together and had a blast. Clint was really into jumping. It made me wish we had a trampoline. He would slide down a slide and then stand up and jump for awhile at the bottom of the slide. I love the picture of Abby on the pink sea-monster(click on it to get a better look). She's such a ham!

Pool

Another score from the Porier's yard sale. We finally set up the pool we got from our neighbor's yard sale. The boys love it. In fact from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM Kade begged me to let him swim in the freezing 67 degree water. I told him the temperature out side had to be hotter than the water before I'd let him. That was a long wait for him-- and me! :)

Gooseberry 2010

We had a grand time at Gooseberry this year. The boys missed Ann's kids; They were at the Grob family reunion this year so they couldn't make it to Gooseberry. Our friend Brendan joined us this year. Unfortunately his wife had to work so he came by himself. Darryl got in a lot of fishing this year. The boys had fun fishing at Cold Springs. Clint and Kade mastered casting this year. Clint even cast, hooked, and reeled in 2 fish without any assistance. Kade probably would have done the same but he was a little distracted from fishing by Uncle Gary's air soft gun. The flying squirrle was a hit again, as was the candy cannon. Brendan and Jason fashioned two rockets that would almost go out of sight in the air. We then started launching them at a 45 degree angle and retrieving them from the Gooseberry Campground. It was amazing how far they would go. Taping the rockets lengthwise is the way to go. We did the traditional hike to Annie Bangs cabin. The kids were pretty good considering they were hiking up hill in the heat for about a mile. My parents came up with Porter one afternoon for a quick fishing trip. It was great to be fishing with my dad again. I really miss our weekly fishing trips that we use to make when I was living at home. I LOVE the picture of Cole with Marcia. I wish there wasn't a shadow on Marcia though.

spLaSh paRk

We went to visit my sister today. We took the kids to the splash park that is just down her street. They had a blast. I think they would have had even more fun if the cool wind wouldn't have been blowing. They really like the pushing the buttons that changed where the water would spray. It was fun to just hang out and chat with my sis. Even though we only live an hour away she's super crazy busy with 4 kids, work, and trips so we don't get together much.
