Happy NEW YEAR!

We watched a movie and then rang in the new year with the Bosshardt kids with party poppers and noisemakers.  The funny part was as soon as a party popper was pulled everyone immediately started picking up the confetti.  There was no enjoying the streamers and the party aspect of them.   Then as soon as all the poppers were done everything was in the trash can and kids were rushed off to bed. That is partying red personality style. ;)

Small Town-- Snow Fun!

The boys had a great time playing with the Nances.  Cole enjoyed spinning doughnuts in the snow on the 4-wheeler with Austin-- he enjoyed anything with Austin.  They love each other and they are adorable together.  Grandma promised the boys she would take them sledding up on the hills on the west side of Aurora.  She bought a sled that had a hard plastic bottom and the boys sailed down the hill.  It got to the point where we wouldn't let them start at the very top because they were going uncontrollably fast.  They're boys though so they couldn't understand our concern.  It was fun!-- that is all that matters.  The boys got tiered of waiting for someone to bring a tube back up the hill so they just started sliding down on their bellies.  They looked like a bunch of penguins.  The hill was so icy and steep that they would zip down just like they would on a tube.  Grandma and I put a stop to that fun too. :(  They didn't have any cushioning so we were afraid they were going to crack their ribs on the bumps.  My favorite picture is the one of Cole and Austin on the hill side.  Austin wanted to sit down for a while and so Cole walked over, plopped next to him, and snuggled in.  They are the cutest little buddies.

Flying Buddies

Darryl and Kade have had a great time flying the helicopters together.
We have been so impressed with Kade and his ability to fly.  He can go up and over the arch in the front room and then back around.  He's also mastered a spinning technique called a hula hoop.

Christmas Day

The boys received many treasures for Christmas this year.  First they got their metal shape bender. Cole got a airplane toy, a Spiderman race track, Clint got a new bike with gears, and Kade got a helicopter.  Kade and Clint got Turbo Spokes and Cole got legos.  Kade and Clint also got legos.  Kade got a Real Soccer watch from us and he was so happy.  He gave Darryl a huge hug.  Cole got a airplane that launches off a runway-- kind of like a dart gun.  He loved it so much.  The boys had a great time again going on a treasure hunt to find one of their gifts-- which was a little music box, each plays a different primary song.
We didn't go anywhere before or after Christmas day so we really had a nice laid back holiday break.  It was kind of nice to just be lazy and play with our new toys.
