Wahoo--Bowling!!!

I bet you can't guess why we went bowling with the Spencers today . . . Brag Tags!  We LOVE the brag tags!  The kids love bowling so much that we had to make sure we did this tag.  Thanks to Holiday Lanes for giving brag taggers a discount.  Kade and Tyler(DOA) made sure I took a picture of their scoreboard.  Can you guess why?

Sweet!!!!

I'm not sure why we've never taken the boys to a car show before today.  The truth is we wouldn't have even taken them today if it weren't for the Brag Tag program.  They wanted to get the tag so we went and boy were they loving it.  They were amazed by every cay.  This was their favorite car.  They kept telling me we should by it. Ha ha!  They had some old refurbished 50's car and trailer pairs that I thought were really fun to see.  The "cool" cars were neat too.  :)

We {heart} Banditio!

Another great year with Juanito Bandito at Pickleville Playhouse.  Keep the Bandito plays coming!  We have 3 Banditio apprentices.  We stayed the night in Evanston, Wyoming and so we spent the next morning in the hotel pool.  I don't' know what it is with hotel swimming pools and kids but they think they are incredibly spectacular!

Hi Horses

We went for a bike ride this evening out to the Robert's property.  The boys thought it was pretty funny to watch the horses eat straw.  Fun, simple moments like these are the best!

Bucket of Balls Brag Tag

Who knew!  My boys loved hitting golf balls.  They wanted to go back and do it again and again.  I realized that they give you the free bucket of balls because they know your kids are going to love it.  I was excited for them to be exposed to something new.  They all had a great time.  Cole was frustrated because he couldn't hit it as far as everyone else but I think his frustration was fueled by the time of day--it was nap time.

Tranquility

I loved my view this morning!  The boys have been so good this summer to get up and get their 30 minutes of reading done.  Today they discovered and tranquil place to enjoy their books.  We gave Darryl these hammock chairs for Father's Day and they have created a place we can go to relax.  I'm so happy to say Darryl uses them often.

Ho Ho Ho!

We found Santa today at the school playground.  Ha! Ha!  The boys were having so much fun filling their shirts with the tiny rocks and then dumping them down the slide.  Clint made everyone laugh when he pointed out that he looked like Santa.

Sunsets in June

Some Brag Tag sunsets.  There were a couple tags this year for sunsets and so we tried to capture a good one but the picture didn't do it justice.  A few days later we caught one a little better but the picture still didn't do it justice.  In the end the boys in the pictures were too cute so I decided to include them anyway.

Outdoor Movie Theatre

We had an outdoor movie night with the Swayzes tonight.  Scott, Crystal, Summer, Axel, & Harrison( we missed Christianna) came over to watch the Lego movie with us.  Ideally it could have been darker when we started the movie but in the summer it doesn't get dark until way late.  Fun summer times!

Emergency Vehicles

After karate class we ran over to Days parking lot to checkout the Emergency Vehicles they had on display in their parking lot.  Again the Airmed Helicopter was their favorite.   I'm so grateful that we have so many neat opportunities like this for my boys in our community.

Hi-yah!

We took advantage of yet another free introduction class offered through the Brag Tag program!  Today it was a Karate lesson.  The boys have wanted to take karate but I haven't wanted to sign them up because all they really want to do is break boards.  In my speech I would always tell them that they would have to be in karate for years before they would get to the point to break boards.  Well I was proven wrong today!  Turns out that they can have a 20 minute lesson and then they break boards.  In fact she had Cole come up and be the first person to break one in the demonstration.  He was so impressed with himself.  I was really impressed with the program but I'm still hesitant to sign up for classes. A good friend did karate when she was young and she said it is extremely expensive.  I discovered that when they told us about the deal they had going for us if we signed up today.  It would only be $125/month.  Ummm that is insane!  I can't imagine doing that times 3.  We'll see if they want to pursue it.  We might end up biting the bullet one day.

Weed eaters!

I wish I would have taken a before picture. :(  The boys pulled all the weeds that were growing in the rocks today.  There were a lot!  I wish we could just pull them and they'd never come back in the spot that we pulled them from.  Way to go boys! It looks TERRIFIC!

Gooseberry-- day 4

The weather was warmer last night and so we all slept in the tent.  We are so happy to be here but this is the end of another fun year at Gooseberry.

Gooseberry-- day 3

Today the boys had some fun adventures with their sticks. I think they were pretending to be ninjas.  Granny had magnifying glasses in her treasure chest so there were many lost moments waiting for leaves, twigs, and grass to burn-- LOVED that!  There were some great games of Ladder Golf.  We did take a quick minute to get a picture of the crew that was here today.  Cole had a great time "making dust."  The favorite treat this year was roasting marshmallows for our s'mores in the fireplace in the rec hall.  We watched the Lego movie and stayed warm with the fire in the rec hall. Our Gooseberry camp wouldn't be the same without the glow parade.  We adorned ourselves with the glow sticks and marched around the campground singing the traditional The Ants Go Marching.
