I took Cole to the Midway park today. He was playing at the play ground and then came running, "Mom! You've got to come see this!" I figured he was just talking about some imprints of dinosaur bones on the underneath of the plastic rock wall on the playground set. He said, "NO! You've really got to come see this thing!" I begrudgingly got up and walked over, certain I knew what he wanted to show me. Was I shocked to see the huge turkey lying on the wood chips. It was very friendly; kids were petting it, hugging it, stepping on its tail, riding it, and touching its eye. It stayed there through it all. If the kids would go off and play it would eventually move closer to where they were. It was so bizarre. The kids loved it. One little girl even named it Elizabeth. :) Such a fun and cute experience for the kids.

Mini Beekeepers
Darryl was heading out to go check on his hives but stopped to suit up Kade and Clint so they could come along. Kade was trying to play tough but he was failing. He was pretty nervous about not having an extra barrier on his legs. We only have one full kid-size suit but Darryl was certain that they wouldn't be upsetting the bees and so Kade wouldn't be in any danger. He was very relieved when they were done and he was going home without being stung.

Hiking to the Cave
Darryl has made "the cave" hike a favorite past time recently. He went with the trail running group, then took Ron up [that was when this shot was taken], then took the boys the Saturday before Easter, and then took Paul Malan up recently. I think it is about time it's my turn! :)
This is such a great spot for a photo.

Closing Night :*(
Kade had such a hard time with the thought that he wouldn't be hanging out with these people every week anymore. I'm so glad he enjoyed it so much. I hope they all know what a great impact they had on Kade.

Boxes!
Boxes are the best! We had a couple large boxes that the kids have been playing in all week. Today Cole and Rachel, his friend from Presschool that we watch on Fridays, made an airplane with chairs and the boxes. This was Cole riding in the wing of the airplane. I love their imaginations!!!

Larry the Leprechaun came!
Well we didn't catch a leprechaun, nor did we try. Kade left a bunch of pennies out for the leprechaun along with this piece of paper, some crayons, and a note asking the little guy to draw a picture of himself. Leprechaun, Larry St. Ives in turn left a fun note and a few little 4-leaf clover shaped treats for the boys. He also left green stones scattered throughout or house; we're guessing they're lucky pebbles. The boys had a great time searching for them all day.

St. Patrick's Meet
They held a little practice meet at the Heber Handsprings gym today. A team from Summit County came and they had judges just critique the kids. It was a fun low pressure meet. Kade is really loving gymnastics and seems to be improving.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Kade had a fantasmagorical time being in this play. For his first time doing any kind of theater experience I'd say he couldn't have found a better role, and cast to be in. These are photos of tonight but all 10 shows were just as spectacular. The Baron and Baroness were such a funny part of the show. The Baron was particularly funny to us because he lives in our neighborhood so it was so funny to see that side of him. Characticus and Truly were wonderful pseudo parents for Kade. :)
