Gymnastics in the Park

For their end of the year show the Heber Handspringers took over the city park tonight.  They assembled the trampolines and mats and then tumbled for everyone.  Kade and Clint had a great year in tumbling.  I loved watching them learn and improve.  It's amazing how we can progress and learn new tasks!

Clint pretty much has his back handspring though he is a little scared to do it without someone standing next to him.

Kade enjoyed his first year competing.  It was a hard lesson to learn but I think each meet as let him learn that you can still have fun even if you don't win 1st place.  He loved that they won a medal for each even at each meet so he ended up with 12 medals I think.  Looks pretty impressive.  :)

Mother's Day!

I love reading the boys innocent remarks on the notes and things they give me for Mother's Day.  They're the sweetest boys!  Kade and Clint made necklaces in art class and both gave them to me for Mother's Day.  In Primary Cole and Clint wrote notes to me.  Clint made the booklet "Life is a Garden" and Kade made the "Happy Mother's Day" booklet.  Loved the all boy comment that Clint wrote about loving me because I cook him food.  Kade was so proud of his booklet because he sewed the top all by himself.  Great gifts! {heart}

Buzz and Jodi Wedding

One of my big brothers married a sweet gal today.  Their story is one that reads like a novel.  Someone really should write a movie about them.  :)   I'll give a very brief overview.  In high school they were part of a group of kids that spent a lot of time together.  She was dating my brothers friend so they never dated each other back then.  Life went on and they both married and had children with other people.  She has 3 boys and a girl, and he has a girl.  Well life went on and they both divorced.  In January my brother was working at the hospital and went in to do some work on a patient and discovered a room full of familiar faces.  It was that girl from high school and all of her family in the room.  Buzz had spent lots of time at their home when he was in high school so he knew everyone.  Well after that meeting it was a pretty steep slope to May.  They were a perfect fit for each other and they both knew it.  It wasn't long before they had a ring and set a date.  They didn't do anything too elaborate and only invited immediate family that lived close.  It was a simple perfect day for them to start their lives together.  I couldn't be happier for both of them.

Cruise-Thursday

Ensenada, our last stop on the cruise and we were all a little depressed because we knew it was all ending and we were going to be dumped back into reality the next day.  This was a little resort we went to.  It was so funny because when we got there it was like a ghost town.  We were so confused.  The hot tubs were freezing and the air temperature wasn't great so we didn't want to get in the ocean.  We found some lounge chairs and basked in the sun for a while.  They also had a museum about local history that we toured while we wandered.  Eventually they turned on the hot tubs and so it didn't take long before this picture had the four of us in it.  It was a beautiful scene but still odd to be the only people around.  We later found out that it was the off season and so they didn't have things up and going because there aren't many people using the resort right now.  Oops. ;)
