Fall Break Staycation: Hotel

We had a great time for fall break this year.  I figured Darryl would be working as usual so I was planning what I'd do with the boys and Darryl suggested he'd take a couple days off and we could take a little staycation.  We were all excited to have some Dad time.  There is a hotel that we've seen off the freeway that has a tube slide that goes into their swimming pool.  Since the boys LOVE the hotel swimming pool more than anywhere else we thought it would be fun to stay there one night.  We booked it and when we arrived at the hotel the front desk said the pool would be closed the next day so we'd only get to swim tonight-- oh well what can you do.  So we ordered pizza, ate, and headed to the pool.  When we arrived at the pool there was a big sign that said the slide is only open on Friday and Saturday.  Wow!  2 strikes in a row!  We were disappointed but the boys had a great time playing basketball in the pool and so it was okay.  We were just sad because the whole reason we stayed at that hotel was for the slide and we didn't even get to use it.  Grrr.
