Safety Fair

Today was the County Safety Fair. About 2 weeks ago Clint started asking when we could go again to the "dog show with the big skater slides." After inquiring I discovered he was talking about the Safety Fair. He was referring to the K9 cop dogs and the big blowup slides that have skater guys on them. The next week Kade came home from school with a flier about this year's fair. The boys were thrilled! I couldn't miss this. It proved to be another great event. I love that we can go hang out all morning, not spend a dime, and I can just watch the boys be on cloud 9. They thought it was so cool they got to be a doctor and they got to remove skittles from a knee. Their really loved chasing Andy the little ambulance around and asking him to squirt them. The face painter did an incredible job and she was super quick. She painted the boys as dragons and they spent the rest of the day practicing their fire-breathing faces. Their favorite attraction was the slide. They went down about a dozen times and only stopped because we ran out of tickets--they managed to talk a few more booths out of a couple tickets and so they got one more trip on the slide before we left. They were so wore out by the end of the day.
Darryl spent the day doing his capstone project for his MBA. He's almost completed it and I couldn't be more proud and he couldn't be more happy.

That was a great event. Kendal did not like that little Andy the Ambulance. He was fine from a distance, but one time he came over to her and she screamed and jumped in my arms. Poor little girl!
The face painting was fabulous and we enjoyed ourselves also!!
