Lagoon Day

It was the 5S trip for Redmond at Lagoon and it was a blast-- mainly because Clint was a maniac. In years past he's been scared of everything so it was an exhausting day trying to encourage him to explore a new ride. This year it was still exhausting because the kid wanted to go on every ride again and again and again. There is a new roller coaster called Bombora that both Kade and Clint loved. I think they mainly loved it because it plays surfing music really loud on your ride. They were dancing in their seats when the music would start. The love the Tidal Wave, the Bat, and especially the Bumper Cars. It was fun to see them finally figure out the bumper cars this year. They went on them a dozen times or more. The most shocking part of the day was that Clint went on the "terrifying" Dinosaur Egg Drop. That was the ride that traumatized him in years past. I don't know why be at the end of the day he wanted to ride it so he did, and then he got in line and went again, then got in line and went again, then . . . You get the idea. He LOVED it! I was so perplexed all day. Last year the kid was scared all day and it was like we had a different kid at Lagoon this year. He ran from ride to ride and before the ride had stopped he was plotting which ride he was going to run to next. Kade has always been a maniac at Lagoon and he was no different this year. He's hoping to grow 2 inch. before next year so he can finally ride the Mouse and the other roller coasters. He's begged to ride them since he was 3 :D. Darryl did take him on the racetrack where they got to ride in a go cart. He thought that was great but can't wait until he's old enough to be the driver. Cole didn't get to ride the rides though he wanted to. He was really a trooper all day. I didn't dare put him on a ride because he's just young enough that he'd try to bail out of the ride mid ride and that wouldn't go over so well. Next year he will be so ecstatic to be able to participate in the fun. We got to Lagoon right when they opened(11 AM) and left at 11:00 PM when they closed. It was a LONG day but it really flew by. What an unbelievable day!
