Father's and Son's

Kade couldn't wait to whittle this year. Last year at Father's and Son's he scored a pocket knife from a Geocache and so Darryl let him whittle. After that Father's and Son's has become synonymous with whittling. This year was especially fun because Darryl taught the boys and a few kids how to make whistles out of Quaky branches. It's so fun to watch them enjoy doing that; It takes me back to when I was a kid and when I found joy in doing the same thing. It was a pretty warm year for the campout which was great but the wind wasn't a great trade off. It blew fiercely all night but it wasn't unbearable for my guys. Some of the guys in little dome tents didn't get much sleep because it was blowing their tent down all night.
