Happy 24th!

This year we didn't really do much for the 24th. We had a few options but in the end we ended up doing projects--none of which were ours. If you needed a project done you should have called us. :) We helped the neighbors put their swing set together, and Darryl tiled his sister's kitchen. Typically on the 24th we go to Redmond for their festivities. They have a great firework show-- nothing is better than small town fireworks. The fireworks explode right above you and then you get pelted with debris-- seriously it's the best! Then on the 24th they have a parade down and up Main St. You can get enough candy to last through the year and maybe enough to hand out at Halloween! LOL My favorite part of the day is the 'Road Rally.' I wish everyone could go do this with us. Maybe someday we'll do one in Heber. The best way to describe what this is like is imagine the Amazing Race held in your town. It is so fun to try to figure out the clues and then to complete some of the clever tasks. I LOVE IT! We'll have to 'road rally' next year.

I don't understand the "Road Rally" I want to hear more about that! Service and Sacrifice is what the 24th is all about. Congratulations on your 'service projects.'
