We spent the whole day putting in our fence. I wouldn't be sad if I never have to dig another post hole in boulder filled dirt again. I enjoy good hard work though-- especially when you get to see a dramatic change in the end. We didn't go to Salina this year because we're heading down for my niece Jordan's wedding next weekend.
That evening we went to a neighbors for a neighborhood BBQ. It was great to spend time with the East end of our street. Then we went home to light off our fireworks and put the boys to bed-- it was a long day for them too. We started our firework show and the Spencers joined us. The first picture is so great. It is of our neighbor Wendy, her daughter Abby, and Clint. Clint has always loved Wendy. When ever our kids are playing together Clint goes to Wendy when he has a problem. He'll also randomly go set on her lap. Abby loves to mother Clint. She calls him "Baby Clint" and follows him around trying to hold him. Clint doesn't mind as long as he gets to set on Wendy's lap too.
The fireworks were fun. I think the favorite was the parachute. The Spencers had some 3-D glasses that the kids like to use. I think Kade liked them so he could hide his eyes when he'd get scared. As you can see in the second picture Kade wasn't fond of the sparklers. The last picture is of Tyler Spencer and Kade watching a fountain.
